Get Tax filing support at the NSWC
2026 Tax Season: March 2nd - May 15th
The NSWC operates a year-round program where women and non-binary community members can receive support filing personal income taxes and answering simple tax questions.

Run in conjunction with the Canada Revenue Agency's Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, this program is by appointment only. Appointments can be made year-round, and during tax season.

To be eligible to use this service, you must have both:

a modest income, and
-
a simple tax situation.
Clients with more complicated filings may not be eligible for this program, or may be asked to make an appointment outside of regular tax season.

Please note, the clinic cannot help with filings in the following cases:

Those with a total family income over $40,000 for individuals ($55,000 for two people, etc.)

Those who are self-employed (including Uber, DoorDash, and other drivers)
-
Those who have income from rental properties
-
Those who are filing on behalf of a deceased person

Students

Clients are asked to bring their ID as well as their T4, T5007, T4A (OAS), and other necessary tax forms and receipts (when applicable) to their appointment. Clients filing with renter's tax are required to bring their rental agreement, with verification of monthly rent, and their landlord's name.
