Angel's Cradle - St Paul's Hospital

Provides a safe haven for troubled mothers who want to give their newborn babies up anonymously. The facility allows a mother to put a baby in a bassinet and leave before the hospital staff are notified by an alarm with a 30-second delay. The baby will be given any necessary treatment by hospital staff before being placed with the Ministry of Children and Family Development for long-term care. Police will not seek out the mother nor pursue any charges against her.
